Sydney Foragers & Scrumpers – Do You Want A Map?

Your calls from the wilderness have been heard – are you ready to put your money where your mouth is?

If you’re a keen wild food forager or scrumper in search of pastures new, or you’ve always wanted to give it a try but didn’t know where to start, Diego Bonetto and the Wild Food crew (Diego Bonetto, Adrian O’Doherty and Boris Gordon) are set to expand your horizons.

For those who aren’t yet familiar with his good works, passionate weeds advocate and forager Diego teaches the people of Sydney about wild food and celebrating undiscovered or forgotten resources.

Imagine if you didn’t have to pop down to the local conglomerate for your salad greens the next time you’re pondering your next meal. Just whipping out your wild food map and discovering where you can find your nearest (free) lunch sounds far more enticing – and could actually be… FUN – right? Imagine meeting other foragers as you source your (free) lunch, sharing tall tales and maybe even some (free) greens.

Wild food foragers of Sydney, if this sounds like a bit of you, then get on board and help the Wild Food crew’s vision for foragers a reality. Click here to make this map pozible.

The Wild Food Team are definitely up there in the realms of Real Food Heroes – let’s hear about yours. If you too think it’s time to identify and honour our real food heroes – send your pics (jpgs) and blurbs (350 words max) to [email protected], put ‘real food heroes’ in the subject line and we’ll all come together to hear their stories and celebrate them (please make sure you have permission to use their photo first) – or if they’re shy take a photo of their garden or whatever it is that makes them your real food hero.
