Hi there people. Over time, I will post stuff on different subjects, from simple tips to build high productivity in the garden, to info on roof top and vertical gardens, and maybe even get technical on biodynamics.

Let’s start with a simple fact/tip; when watering your garden it’s a good idea not to use water directly from the tap or hose. The reason for this is because chlorine used in town and city water supplies will kill off the biology (fungi and bacteria)you are looking to promote for a truely healthy garden.
If you can fill a tank or drum (covered with a lid to stop mozzies breeding), allow the water to stand for a day or more before using.
You can water with a watering can or maybe gravity feed to drippers or add a small pump and hose……

The outcome of following this tip will result in less disease, fewer nutrient inputs needed and higher carbon building through retention of organic matter.

    Hope this little fact helps.
    Cheers
    Anthony

    • Hey Anthony.>Welcome to the website. Glad you are sharing information. Thats exactly what I want it to encourage. Great point about the chlorine. We want to build soil and then wipe all the good work with an application of chemically doused water. Simple , practical info. Keep it coming…Costa

    Congratulations Costa!

  3. Hey mate, has anyone managed to get this working? When I go to the dashboard I can’t see ‘add new post’ anywhere – maybe we need to get approved as contributors before posting or some such? Cool site :) I’d like to share some wee vids… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTLC-Wwbx9c
